25th International Organ Festival - Natalia Uzhvi
The laureate of a number of international organ competitions Natalia Uzhvi comes from Moscow. She studied the organ first at the academic lyceum under G. V. Semenova. Then she continued at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Moscow under N. H. Gurrewa-Wedernikova. In 2011 she graduated with distinction and started her Master degree study at the Musik Hochschule in Lubeck under A. Gast. She has taken part in many masterclasses led by leading professors such as J. Guillou, L. Rogg, O. Latry, B. van Oosten and L. Lohmann. She has succeeded at various international competitions, e. g. Kazan and Moscow (2nd Prize), J. S. Bach Competition in Leipzig (a special prize of the Barenreiter publishing house), G. Silbermann Competition in Freiberg (where she advanced to the finals), D. Buxtehude Competition in Lubeck (3rd Prize). Since 2014 she has been a deputy organist at St. Mary church in Lubeck. Two years ago she became a regenschori of St. Severini church in Hamburg. Her rich concert career has led her to many European countries and native Russia where she also takes part in organising the international organ competition “Young organist” in Moscow and is a member of the jury board.
