Today we prepared for you the visit to the most fames spa town in our country – Karlovy Vary, known also under its German name Karlsbad. The place with number of hot springs used originally as a bath, later due to high contain of minerals as drinking cure was probably discovered in the middle of 14th Century by the king and emperor Charles IV. Besides being the most famous balneological place in the Czech lands you can also admire its fine Art Nouveau architecture once described by Le Corbusier as the “conference of cakes”. You will see treated springs in action, you can sample these hot mineral waters, you will take a walk on spa colonnade and experience also the most famous film festival city in our country. What else? Karlovy Vary and its surroundings was always full of active and successful entrepreneurs, manufactures and factories especially with the glass and porcelain. And it is also here in Karlovy Vary where typical herbal liquor Becherovka has been produced for 200 years. During the our tour we will have time to visit both Moser glassworks museum as well as museum of Becherovka, we will enjoy also tasteful typical Czech lunch and visit spa part of the city.

How to get there?

For the departure for Karlovy Vary excursion, we will have the bus in Pařížská Street, the Old Town, the right hand side river bank. The bus will be standing in Pařížská Street No 30, which is from a side of the Intercontinental hotel (not in front of the main entrance to this hotel). Close to our bus with FEBS 2019 International Conference sign, you also will see the river Vltava and the bridge with the columns.
